Zane began his career in public practice at a mid-tier accounting firm, where he built a strong foundation in tax compliance, and financial reporting for small to medium-sized businesses.

After five years in public accounting and completing a Bachelor of Business (Accounting & Finance), Zane transitioned into investment management. Over the next three years, he managed Australian equities portfolios, sharpening his skills in financial analysis, identifying trends, and understanding the value of accurate reporting. During this time, he saw firsthand how many clients struggled with understanding their financial position, tax planning, and business structures.

Motivated to bridge the gap between compliance work and financial clarity for business owners, Zane launched Virtuo CFO. His mission: combine accounting expertise with strategic insight to help business owners understand their numbers, improve margins, and plan for sustainable growth.

Today, Zane provides Fractional CFO services that blend financial leadership with practical education. He works closely with business owners to simplify the complex, make confident decisions, and stay ahead of challenges, to maintain control while they scale.
